Polar East Dream Shirt

This bold monochrome East Dream Shirt from Polar Skate Co. is made from lightweight cotton and features an all over digitally printed design created by Malmö based graphic designer and artist Elvira Varghans. The body has been cut to a regular fit for casual comfort and the front is fastened by small customised buttons which lead to the neat pointed collar neckline. On the left side of the chest a small patch pocket has been cut from the same printed fabric and sits subtly against the rest of the design. Known for including playful shapes and illustrations of people within her work, for this design Varghans has drawn a variety of shapes including a nude woman, stars, a flower and unknown creatures which gives the fabric a distinctive look. The body and short sleeves have straight cut hems.

Each season Polar founder Pontus Alv selects a variety of his favourite artists to design custom graphics to be presented across apparel, accessories and skate decks and for SS20 the likes of Elvira Varghans, Berlin based Kirill Kogan and Malmö illustrator Jacob Ovgren have been chosen who each bring their own unique vision to the collection. Alongside work from Alv himself, the themes vary and bring new character to staple t-shirts and hoodies as well as button through shirts that suit wear during the warmer months.
